Warrior27 2008 (issue #3)
The third issue of Warrior27, our black and white comics & prose anthology in the vein of classic EC comics and Twilight Zone episodes, comes in at 36 pages. With a variety of stories expounding upon the theme of reflections on religion and faith, you can discover the tale of an old minister who finds ghosts inhabiting his parish (soon to be printed in a future issue of Ronin Illustrated), and feel the tension of a man whose watch is “Ticking Away” as he awaits the return of a loved one, a return that may not materialize (included in Arcana’s Dark Horrors 2 anthology), while also enjoying an interview with Gary Groth of Fantagraphics Books’ that accompanies a spotlight of their quarterly alt. comics anthology, Mome. All this wrapped in a cover photo by Shane Leonard worth the price of admission alone.
Check out a preview here and here, and don’t forget if you purchase this issue or #2 (the 2006 edition) you receive a free copy of our first issue. And shipping is free. So take a chance, and please let us know what you like and, more importantly, what you didn’t like. We can only get better if we know what works.
Thanks.
